Africa Day

Today is Africa Day!

On May 25, 1963, the Organization of African Unity (OAU), now known as the African Union (AU), was established. This day creates a reflection on the accomplishments of people across the African continent, and on the challenges they still endure.

This year’s theme, focused on the importance of addressing malnutrition and food insecurity. Globally, Africa faces stark development challenges, including food insecurity and increasing malnutrition.

Drawing from the impact of COVID-19 and several other factors that have impeded the development of the African continent, more than ever before, collaboration and resilience must be the hallmark of our actions. As we celebrate this day, let’s not forget to reflect on how we can contribute, individually and collectively, to drive Africa into a transformed and sustainable continent.

At GonetAfrica, we are passionately striving to grow leaders who are disciplined, prepared, creative, orderly and proactive to whatever they do in the interest of transforming Africa into a sustainable continent. We will keep on our mission of equipping Africa’s next generation of leaders and change makers through our structured leadership and capacity building programmes, meticulously designed for the African child. We are committed to inspire Africa to improve in all sectors, and we can achieve this and even more together as leaders in our different circles of influence.

Happy Africa Day!

Thank you!

From GonetAfrica.
